DARTS GOES COUNTRY!

THE DECORATIVE ARTS SOCIETY - DARTS was founded in Johannesburg in 1983.

It is a non-profit making membership society organized for the purpose of presenting lectures to people who share an interest in the Fine and Decorative Arts, as well as music, literature and travel.

Lectures on these and related subjects are arranged for members on a weekly basis.
Approximately thirty-two lectures are held each year, divided into four terms.

There are sister societies in other cities: Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town and Somerset West; they meet just once a month.

We liase closely and share information on lecturers.

Once or twice a year a lecturer is flown out from Europe on a lecture tour to all the societies.

Since its inception, the hallmark of DARTS lectures has been that they stimulate, interest, inspire, educate and certainly lead to a broadening of horizons - and all this with an element of humour!

DARTS GOES COUNTRY!

A new society opened in Hartebeeshoek in August 2005.

Monthly lectures normally take place on the first Sunday of every month from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

From 2007 the venue for talks has been the delightful, secluded and well-equipped Conference Centre at Amanzingwe Bush Lodge in Broederstroom.

Lectures are open to all at R50.00 per person; light refreshments are served in the interval, and the splendid Amanzingwe buffet lunch is available afterwards at R100.00, with a cash bar.

BOOKING FOR LECTURE AND LUNCH ESSENTIAL PLEASE!
